What They Say

Selena Stoney Photography

As a resident and business owner of West Ashley, I love our community and I think we are often overlooked as an area that has all the things we need right here!  I love the idea of creating a connected group of pre and postpartum professionals that are accessible to our area.

Lowcountry Lactation Station

I have had the privilege of calling West Ashley my home for 20+ years. While working with the families of West Ashley as an RN at Roper St Francis, I realized that there was a great need for out of hospital support. I was excited to become one of Supporting West Ashley’s founding companies as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)  and join a group of professionals that care about their work and represent West Ashley.

Well Rounded Healing

I joined Supporting West Ashley because I want to be a part of a cohesive group that has the same vision and goal of supporting our community. I also joined the group because I want to surround myself with fellow practitioners for professional friendships and collaborations to better serve all of our patients/clients.

New Hope Chiropractic

True health cannot be achieved treating the body as separate parts. Too often we have different providers for different issues and they never talk to each other. True health involves treating the person as a whole with providers who communicate. This approach has everyone on the same page working toward a common goal, a healthier, happier you!  This unique collective of providers offers a cohesive and comprehensive approach to health care and I am proud to take part in this revolutionary group.

Courtney Olsen, Postpartum Doula, Yoga Instructor

After relocating to West Ashley from Boston in 2015, I knew we would call this place Home for the long haul. The community I have been welcomed into here has inspired me to hear the call to become a gentle yoga teacher and postpartum doula. Becoming a founding member of Supporting West Ashley only deepens my commitment to the place I call home.

Karilyn Casperson; Birth Doula

In joining the Supporting West Ashley group I hope to deepen the connection with this place that I now call home. Being a transplant from Colorado/Maine I find it important to plant my own roots in this community and be able to be part of it as it continues to grow. I am so excited to join this budding group of amazing caregivers!
